Hello, my name is Lucy McConnell and I am a children’s book specialist with an in-depth knowledge of children’s literature, curriculum needs, and reading for pleasure research. 

With years of experience at Peters, I launched Lucy Loves Libraries to provide expert, independent support to schools both locally in the West Midlands and across the UK. My mission is to help busy schools who don't have the time or staffing to make the most of their libraries.

I pride myself on being friendly, collaborative and practical and will work in your school with care and attention, and with sustainability and safeguarding at the forefront of my mind.

I have an Enhanced DBS Check and Public Liability Insurance. 

I am based in Birmingham, and happy to travel to where you are.
